Educators, pupils and students are also welcome to attend the Frankfurt Book Fair on trade visitor days. The book fair offers numerous high-quality events and interesting exhibitors for visitors from the education sector. At the fair, they can discover not just the latest educational media, but also countless presentations, panel discussions and lectures dedicated to the topics of education, teaching and learning. Teachers and educators must register as trade visitors in order to attend the fair on the days reserved for professional visitors.
can receive discounted tickets on trade visitor days and at the weekend at all entrances to the fair upon presentation of their student identity cards. We regret that discounted tickets cannot be purchased online in advance; in the run-up to the book fair, tickets at the reduced rate are only available to groups of students and those accompanying them. Bus entry permits and an informative CD are provided free of charge with these tickets.
School classes on trade visitor days
We warmly welcome school groups and the educators accompanying them from 19 to 23 October 2016. All group members are eligible for the reduced ticket price for pupils. Teachers who would like to visit the book fair with their classes should plan in advance since the number of tickets for pupils on trade visitor days is limited. There is no limit for the weekend. Bookings will be accepted beginning in June and will be processed in the order in which they are received.
Visiting the book fair is worth it! There is so much for pupils to discover. From the Classroom of the Future, children’s and juvenile media, non-fiction books, fiction and the Comics Collective Stand to digital reading worlds and the cosplay championship. In addition to numerous events, book presentations and readings, there’s plenty of fun to be had! And with a bit of luck you might just meet your favourite authors or other interesting celebrities from around the world.
