Review: Frankfurt Audio Summit 2018

In 2018, the Frankfurt Audio Summit took place as first conference dealing with audio content at Frankfurter Buchmesse.  Renowned industry experts shared their expertise with the participants at theFrankfurt Audio Summit, giving them valuable tips and answers to questions about audio.

Which audio formats prevail in which markets? Why does the US market function completely differently from the Arab or Asian markets? How can new business models such as streaming and bundling become profitable? Renowned industry insiders provided participants of the Frankfurt Audio Summit well-founded and easy-to-implement answers.

"The Frankfurt Audiobook Conference* added quality time at the fair for everybody involved in the rapidly rising world of audio. Insights into reliable and important figures, and an overview of growing markets provided a real incentive to follow up on the topics afterwards. Not to forget useful contacts which developed during the conference."

For many years our modern busy lifestyle did not allow Tarek to read as much as he would like. In order not to miss out on the plethora of great content, he started listening to audiobooks and podcasts instead and found it a great way to consume informative, educational and entertaining content while on-the-go.
However, the lack of top quality and digital Arabic audio content is what led Tarek to start Booklava in 2016, with the mission of creating an audio platform for the Arab World.
Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Tarek worked for 10 years with world leading multinational corporations with several international deployments, leading projects in Marketing, Sales, Commercial Operations, and Strategy across 30+ international markets. Tarek has a BA from the American University of Beirut and completed an Executive Business Program from Harvard Business School.
