For the first time ever, you can also sell your books and publishing products on Saturday at Frankfurter Buchmesse.

A bigger audience for your books

This year, exhibitors can sell their books and publishing products during the entire weekend when the fair opens its doors to the general public. This is a new opportunity for exhibitors to reach more visitors and customers. But it also helps support the book market and sends an important signal to the industry. Because bricks-and-mortar bookstores serve as places of inspiration for passionate readers all year round.

Information for book sales

Books have fixed retail prices. This ensures that you pay the same price everywhere – regardless if you buy it in a small bookshop, a big book store, on the internet or at the Frankfurter Buchmesse.

Exhibitor questions

I would like to participate with my publishing house in the book sale at the weekend. Where can I register?

Publishers participating in the extended book sale do not have to register centrally.

Where can I store the books, and what does it cost?

You can find information on the storage quantity at the stand, fire protection and additional storage options here:

How is the "delivery" of the books from the warehouse to my stand guaranteed? How and when can I have the books delivered at the fair?

Questions about the organisation and logistics of book sales can be answered by the respective customer manager or the service department.

I don't want to sell the book myself, I want to work with a bookseller. What do I need to keep in mind?

Booksellers who are interested in organising sales at a publishing stand at the weekend or exhibitors who are looking for a partner bookseller for sales should contact the Service Department: Tel.: +49 (0) 69 2102-111, e-mail: buchverkauf@buchmesse.de

Can I have books delivered to the fair?

You can find information on the storage quantity at the stand, fire protection and additional storage options here:

Can I also sell if I am not an exhibitor?

No, book sales are reserved exclusively for exhibitors at the Frankfurter Buchmesse.

Can we rent cash registers and receipt printers?

No. Unfortunately, the Frankfurter Buchmesse does not have rental cash desks. Unfortunately, no service provider is known either.

Do we get a receipt book or other materials from you to record sales?

No. Any obligation to enter data lies with the individual stands.

Can we give books away?

In principle this is not forbidden. Nevertheless, you should make sure that recipients of gifts can prove that they own the gifts. Whether through stickers or receipts is at your discretion.

Is there an extended set-up time on Friday?

Extended set-up times are possible by individual arrangement. Please talk to your customer advisor.

We've heard of these beautiful bags, how can we order them?

The paper bags "Inspiration" will be delivered to the stands on Friday evening. As long as stocks last, you can buy small quantities of supplies from the manufacturer Apomore TÜTLE in Hall 3.1 B101.

Can I increase the safety of my stand on sales days?

We recommend that exhibitors with large stands book an additional night watch.

Questions booksellers / trade press

How is the book trade involved?

Booksellers who are interested in organising sales at a publishing stand at the weekend or exhibitors who are looking for a partner bookseller for sales, please contact the service department: Tel.: +49 (0) 69 2102-111, e-mail: buchverkauf@buchmesse.de

The accompanying campaign "Inspiration. #BUCHMOMENT auf der Messe und 365 Tage in der Buchhandlung" focuses on the book and its readers and points to the importance of the book trade as a place of inspiration - far beyond the fair. It will be present on a large scale in front of and on the exhibition grounds and takes up the claim of the further developed NOW A BOOK! initiative of the Börsenverein, which will also focus on the book trade at the Frankfurt Book Fair with further measures.

I would like to offer my services to a publisher - who can I contact?

Bookstores interested in organising sales at a publisher's stand at the weekend, or exhibitors looking for a partner bookstore for sales, please contact the service department: Tel.: +49 (0) 69 2102-111, e-mail: buchverkauf@buchmesse.de

What are the conditions for selling via a partner bookstore?

The conditions are negotiated between the two cooperation partners. The Frankfurter Buchmesse team only arranges the contact.
