AI 2.0: Machine-Generated Content, Intelligent Automation, and the Future of Academic Publishing

Upcoming technologies and current examples from Springer Nature, Cenveo Publisher Services, HighWire

In April 2019, Springer Nature sparked a public debate on the opportunities and implications of machine-generated content creation and AI in academic publishing with the publication of its first machine-generated book. From Springer Nature's Beta Writer to Cenveo's Smart Edit for workflow automation and high-speed publishing, to companies that use machine learning and AI for discovery, peer review, and more, emerging technologies allow publishers to offer a broader range of tools and services to serve researchers and authors.

In this presentation and panel, we will shed light on upcoming technologies and share current examples and initiatives from Springer Nature, Cenveo Publisher Services, HighWire.
