ALSTON STEPHANUS COSPLAY

This is a highlight on Alston Stephanus: an Indonesian international cosplayer. Narrated by Alston himself, this video shows how he embraces the world of cosplay. San Diego Comic Con 2014 was a spontaneous visit that became a whole experience that exposes him to a fresh realm to be discovered, and he voluntarily plunged into it. As with everything he does, it’s all the way or no way. Having been in the fashion industry, he knows a thing or two about bringing to life an image that he has in his mind, although prop and costume building is a whole other thing for him to learn and venture. Now that he has a platform to bring his favorite characters to life anytime he wants it, Cosplay has pretty much been his playground. Since then Alston has participated in various pop culture conventions and challenged himself in many ways, from hiking to extreme location shoots to being invited as a cosplay judge. He shows us how cosplay can help him express his enthusiasm towards pop culture.
