A talk.

Inspired by the short story \"New Daughters of Africa\" by Bridget Minamore, the panelists discuss the realities of life, ideas, and narratives that Black women in Germany and Great Britain are exposed to. How do they deal with stereotypes, experiences of racism and social inequality, and what meaning does this have for themselves, their writing and work? Ultimately, the aim is to illuminate the space between discrimination, exploitation and degradation on the one hand and strength, own paths, narratives and empowerment on the other.

An event by stimmen afrikas, Litprom e.V.. and the Frankfurt Book Fair. stimmen afrikas is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Science of North Rhine-Westphalia and the Kunststiftung NRW.

The event will be held in English.
