Premiere of the film with presence of the writer Juan Tomás Ávila Laurel (Equatorial Guinea)

Juan Tomás Ávila Laurel is one of the most revered Central African writers. He is living in Spain as a refugee since in 2011, when he had to flee Equatorial Guinea. He is one of the most prominent voices against Teodoro Obiang's regime, one of the world’s longest lasting dictatorships. We'll screen the documentary \"The Writer From a Country Without Bookstores\" (82 minutes) where we discover that beyond Latin America, a Latin Africa exists. The film follows the writer's trip from Spain back to his home country... despite of the risks. After the screening there will be a Q&A with Juan Tomás Ávila Laurel and Marc Serena, the film director.

The event will be held in English.
