Lars Mytting, Norwegian Legends and the German Fascination for Stave Churches
There are 28 stave churches in Norway and they don’t pop up often in contemporary literature, but in Lars Mytting’s latest novel they do! Meet Mytting in conversation with Olav Brostrup Müller, Director Lillehammer UNESCO City of Literature.
Lars Mytting (1968) is a Norwegian author of international best-selling non-fiction and novels. In total his books are translated in 21 languages. His newest novel Søsterklokkene, published in 2018, became an instant bestseller in Norway. The German translation of this novel Die Glocke im See was published in in January 2019 by Suhrkamp Insel Verlag, translated by Hinrich Schmidt-Henkel.
