Religious and political disputes have been prominent in the region for some time now, and the speakers in this panel from Hongkong, Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam have all dealt with current or historical political issues in their literary works. What are these issues? What kind of influence do these current issues have on the writer’s works? How do they deal with them in their writing?
