Zaia Alexander reads from her debut novel »A Long Spell of Earthquake Weather«

Coyotes roam hungrily through the streets; in the news they warn of random shootings and road rage. With the heat comes an eerie silence. Earthquake weather. In this novel, life in L.A. doesn’t resemble the Hollywood portrayed in big studio films. A poetic, powerful, cosmopolitan novel that crosses boundaries, dissolves hierarchies between animal and humans, children and parents, and reveals L.A. as a shimmering mystery in the desert that the city still is today.

Due to the current situation Zaia Alexander and Antje Ravik Strubel will not be able to be in Frankfurt. The event will take place as a digital live talk in front of an audience in the hall.
