Halls 1 and 3: new Areas and the Window to the City

Exhibitors in literature, non-fiction, children’s books, and other subject areas will find new homes in Halls 3 and 1. Hall 1 will not only draw in many visitors – due to the close proximity to the city and the underground station Festhalle/Messe – but also thanks to another highlight: the new glass facade on the east side of Hall 1 will be one of the most impressive locations at Frankfurter Buchmesse.

Halle 4: where the international Players meet
The international exhibitors in Hall 5 will switch to Hall 4 in 2020, where we will establish a new hot spot for international publishing. Hall 4.2 will remain the usual spot for academic publishing. Exhibitors from Hall 4.1 will move into the freshly-renovated Hall 1.

Your Advantages with Future Frankfurt: valuable Encounters and successful Business

Intensified Contact with your Audience

It is becoming increasingly important to establish a direct connection to the public throughout all market segments. As an exhibitor or trade visitor at Frankfurter Buchmesse, you will meet all of your target groups in person, “live and in colour”, followed by global resonance in social media channels. Here are a few new measures taken for you B2C-success.

Business Partners tailor-made for you

Whether it’s for a specialist community or a shared passion, perfect-fit encounters will happen when the number, density and variety of experts increases. In order to further increase the diversity of topics, we continuously develop new tailored areas and offers.

Modernised Fair Infrastructure

Many exhibitors will once again find themselves a new location in 2020 – with the potential for unexpected encounters that drive their business. Together with the Technical University of Darmstadt, we have carried out a multi-year research project on total accessibility to the fair called “Frankfurter Buchmesse for everyone”. As a result, we have already begun to improve the walkways and signage at the fair, while increasing the number of seats. This will ensure that all visitors can quickly find their way to the next meeting and that people with special needs can enjoy improved access to all areas and events at the exhibition site – and that our weekend guests can spend lots of time at the fair.
