With the occassion of the International Children's and YA Book Fair (FILIJ) in Mexico City, the Mexican Fundación Fundación para las Letras Mexicanas (FLM) organized a two-day-event on Children's Literature. As a foretaste to the major Event in May 2021 a digital event took place on the 4th and 5th November under the title "De ida y vuelta: Escritura e ilustración para la infancia en Alemania y México“ (Inbound and Outbound: Writing and illustration for Children in Germany and Mexico). Some specific aspects that were adressed were the literary process that goes from the creation of the idea to its visual implementation in illlustrations or how books reach their target audiences specially in times of pandemic. The venue was the Casa Estudio Cien Años de Soledad where the Columbian writer and Nobel laureate Gabriel García Márquez wrote some of his master works.
