Sarah Hemens is Director of New Books in German, a multi-stakeholder project which promotes German-language literature in the UK, USA and across the world. She previously worked in grants fundraising and communications in international human rights, working with institutional donors in Europe, the US and Africa and managing a communications and publications programme. Sarah is also currently Vice Chair of Anti-Slavery International, the oldest human rights organisation in the world. She has an MA (Hons.) in German from Edinburgh University as well as a certificate in International Human Rights Law and Practice from the London School of Economics.
