Igor Holland-Moritz was born in Lutherstadt-Wittenberg in 1976 as a child of theater people and came into contact with art and literature at an early age. In the 90s he studied German linguistics, philosophy and sociology at the University of Bayreuth. From 2002 on he was engaged at the Meininger Staatstheater. In 2008 he became a dramaturg there and in 2010 he moved to the Neue Bühne Senftenberg as an acting dramaturg, where he co-conceived several theater spectacles. After further training in theater and music management at the LMU in Munich, he headed the communications and marketing department at the new stage from 2017.
Since 2019 he has been in charge of the European Children's and Youth Book Fair Saarbrücken. He lives in Saarbrücken with his wife and five-year-old son.
