Olga Gryaznova, born in 1984 in Baku, Azerbaijan. Longer stays abroad in Poland, Russia, Israel and Turkey. She was awarded the Klaus-Michael Kühne Prize and the Anna Seghers Prize for her highly acclaimed debut novel "Der Russe ist einer, der Birken liebt". Her most recent publication is "Gott ist nicht schüchtern". The novel became a bestseller and has sold 50 000 copies. Olga Gryaznova lives with her family in Berlin.
