Abier Megahed was born in Cairo in 1965. She graduated from the German school of Borromean women in 1983 and studied German language and literature at Cairo University and graduated in 1987. She works at the Goethe-Institut Cairo since 2002 and is the Head of the library of the Goethe-Institut Cairo since 2016.
