Maryam Jafri

Visual Artist

Maryam Jafri is an artist working across media and genres - video, sculpture, photography, and performance – with a specific interest in questioning the cultural and visual representation of history, politics, and economy.

She holds a BA in English & American Literature from Brown University, an MA from NYU/Tisch School of The Arts and is a graduate of the Whitney Museum Independent Study Program. Jafri is currently a professor of Contemporary Art at KHiO - Oslo National Academy of the Arts.
