Raul Zurita has a long history in the field of visual arts. In 1979 he created with other Chilean artists C.A.D.A. (Collective of Art Actions). In 1982 he wrote with airplanes and smoke letters in the sky of New York the 15 sentences of his poem "La vida nueva”. In 1993 he traced permanently the phrase "neither sorrow nor fear" across the Atacama Desert, which by its dimensions (3,147mts) can only be seen from the heights.
