Ilija Trojanow


Ilija Trojanow , born 1965 in Sofia, fled with his family in 1971 through Yugoslavia and Italy to Germany. After living in Kenya, Paris, Munich, Mumbai and Cape Town, he now lives in Vienna. His novels and travel reports are celebrated bestsellers and have been awarded numerous prizes. Most recently, the German publishing house S. Fischer published his novel "Doppelte Spur" and the autobiographical-political essay "Nach der Flucht".
