Lana Bastašić won the 2020 EU Prize for Literature for Bosnia and Herzegovina with Uhvati Zeca. Born in 1986 in Zagreb, she holds a master’s degree in cultural studies. In 2016, she co-founded Escola Bloom in Barcelona, for which she co-edits the literary magazine Carn de cap. She is also one of the creators of the ‘3+3 sisters’ project, which aims to promote women writers of the Balkans. Uhvati Zeca is her first novel. Before its publication, she also received numerous awards for her short stories.
