Book Night in Frankfurt's Bahnhofsviertel
Frankfurt, 13 October 2016 – Frankfurter Buchmesse and Initiative Gastronomie Frankfurt e.V. (Frankfurt Gastronomy Initiative) are hosting the first Book Night in Frankfurt's Bahnhofsviertel (train station district). Starting from 6:00 pm on Saturday, 22 October 2016, a diverse programme awaits night owls looking for even more great experiences after the Fair.
Frankfurter Buchmesse and the 2016 Guest of Honour, Flanders & the Netherlands, will take up residence in several bars, clubs and restaurants in the area between the streets "Niddastraße" and "Münchener Straße".
The Chez IMA restaurant of the 25hours Hotel by Levi's will be offering oriental fusion cuisine at "Book Fair X", with Funk and Soul by DJ Sherm. eatDOORI will have its own special Book Fair menu. Visitors can experience the culinary highlights of Guest of Honour Flanders & the Netherlands with Club Michel's "Dutchsaver" menu. Rude, the second location of IMA Clique, is honouring the event with chips and beer. Traffic Label will provide the musical backdrop. Those who wish to get in the mood prior to Book Night can go to Stanley Diamond for Flemish specialities from Monday to Friday.
At Plank, visitors can try out a "surprise drink" or the Genevieve, a drink with Dutch cheese. Maxie Eisen is hosting "Slam 'n Drink" with the infamous "Kopstootje", a Dutch boilermaker, along with a short performance by poetry slammer Samuel Kramer.
In AMP the evening will start at 7:00 pm with the reading "DOMESTIC VIOLENCE" by Thomas Glavinic and Tobias Rüther reading from their F.A.S. columns. Frankfurt Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung is the partner for this event. Afterwards, the night will continue with drinks and music. Pracht will open up a "music library" with help from DJ Lesewurm.

Initiative Gastronomie Frankfurt e.V. (Frankfurt Gastronomy Initiative) is a collaboration of restaurateurs in Frankfurt, including owners of restaurants, bars and clubs.
The initiative started on 2 December 2015 with the founding members Madjid Djamegari (Gibson Club), James Ardinast (Chez IMA), Matthias Martinsohn (Destino Tapas Bar), Goran Petreski (VaiVai), Christian Daam (naïv), Sascha Euler (naïv), Henry Walon (Sugar), Klaus Knopp (Ginkgo), Peyman Far (Landwehrstübchen) and Yared Hagos (The Parlour). Over the years, Frankfurt has turned itself into a place of culinary highlights. The restaurateurs of Frankfurt make more than a cultural contribution; they represent an essential component of the city's economy. They also act as the face of the city for visitors.
