Dr. Ian Synge

As Principal Consultant, Ian Synge leverages his 20+ years of experience in knowledge management, taxonomies, and categorization to help customers identify business process requirements and design solution mix involving platform, product, and professional services to deliver digital transformation in how they work with their knowledge and content. Ian is a strong communicator and a highly skilled manager of geographically dispersed and virtual teams, he delivers large projects to enable major international organizations in EMEA, North America, and Asia to maximize the value of their content investments. 

Ian joined Ixxus, a CCC subsidiary, in 2015 as Head of Product, and has played a key role designing and deploying world-class content management solutions for a host of clients in the Publishing & Media industries. Prior to Ixxus, Ian was a Taxonomy Specialist with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), where he was responsible for the design and delivery of a knowledge management system providing tailored content to ICAEW’s membership base of over 140,000 users. Earlier, he held a number of senior technical and leadership positions at Inchcape Shipping Services and its software subsidiary, ShipNet AS. Prior to this he worked in the national security space providing taxonomy and information management-driven solutions to organisations including Jane’s Information Group, NATO, and the European Defense Agency.
