Ronan has been Acting Head of Marketing for Brands & Partnerships since January 2020. In this role, Ronan oversees marketing, digital and cross-promotional strategy for BBC Studios’ Consumer Products division. He is also responsible for collaboration between Consumer Products and Content to identify and develop IP with broader commercial potential. His remit includes developing multi-platform commercial initiatives, such as the recently launched “Time Lord Victorious” for Doctor Who. Prior to this position, Ronan was Marketing Manager, responsible for the management of global drama brands at BBC Studios, including Doctor Who, The Watch and His Dark Materials.
Ronan joined BBC Studios’ (then BBC Worldwide) Australia office in 2015, where he worked in his home town of Sydney. Here Ronan worked on key regional initiatives across Australia-New Zealand before moving to the global headquarters in London to work across Drama and Children’s’ brands.
Ronan has also worked at Microsoft Australia, where he was part of the internship and graduate programmes, gaining experience in operations, budget management and enterprise marketing.
Ronan has studied at Macquarie University and the University of California, Los Angeles, in Accounting & Marketing and Film Production respectively. He recently completed the Marketing Week mini MBA in Brand Management.
