Audioscript Tijan Sila

Hello, my name is Tijan Sila, I am a writer and I would like to tell you about my first visit to the fair. That was in 2016, shortly before the publication of my first novel, and I was there at the invitation of my publisher. And since I didn't publish my first novel until I was 35, it was a relatively late entry into a world that I had only ever imagined, of which I simply had no concrete idea what it looked like.

And that's why, to this day, every visit to Frankfurter Buchmesse feels as if I'm entering a world I've only ever dreamed of, and I'm always animated by the feeling that I finally belong to it, too. So for me, Frankfurter Buchmesse will always be closely associated with this feeling – that I have finally managed to get to a destination that I had dreamed of all my life.
