Requirements for participation

You are a new exhibitor or you last exhibited at Frankfurter Buchmesse in 2017.
You are a service provider with a focus on the publishing industry.

The wildcard is aimed at service providers for the book trade such as book wholesalers, library sector, sales & distribution, printing & production (printing services), CMS & content and data services, consulting & coaching, IT & software services, PR & marketing services.

As part of the Frankfurter Buchmesse competition, participants can win an 8 sqm stand (incl. an 8 sqm area, environmental and energy surcharge, marketing package, furniture package “Furniture & Lighting M”, three exhibitor passes, ten trade visitor day tickets).

All companies that have not exhibited at Frankfurter Buchmesse since 2017 are eligible to apply. Companies that are affiliated in any way with a company that is already an exhibitor at Frankfurter Buchmesse or has been since 2018 are excluded from participation. The closing date for entries is 15 January 2026. Entries can be submitted via our website: buchmesse.de/en/wildcard.

In January 2026, the winners will be selected by a jury from Frankfurter Buchmesse GmbH and notified of their win by email. Following notification of the win, Frankfurter Buchmesse GmbH will send the winners all the documents relevant for participation in the event. The prize is non-transferable.
