Support for your exhibitor profile
All exhibitors who book a stand or an event slot will automatically receive the Digital Package BASIC. Exhibitor profiles are created by Frankfurter Buchmesse.
Here’s how it works:
- You book a stand or an event slot.
- The contact specified in the registration form automatically receives an email with login details as soon as the platform goes live.
- After you log in for the first time, you can edit your profile and add additional team members.
Important to know:
- Your login details are sent to the email address provided in your stand registration.
- Exhibitors who only exhibit digitally (no physical stand) will need to get the Digital Package ECO or PRO. There is no self-registration option available to exhibitors. A Digital Package is required.

The features available depend on your Digital Package:
BASIC:
- Company profile in the Exhibitor Directory
- Upload up to 3 files under “Marketing materials” (PDF, audio, image or video)
- Feature up to 3 products
- Unlimited event entries
- Add links to speakers (set up via support)
- Add team members (with and without editing rights)
- View and export leads
ECO:
- All BASIC features
- Lead export
- Upload up to 10 files under “Marketing materials”
- Feature up to 10 products
PRO:
- All ECO features
- Upload unlimited files under “Marketing materials”
- Feature up to 25 products
- “Top of the list” placement in the Exhibitor Directory
- Premium profile (header + background image)
- Advertising banners (web/app) including your own URL
Only users with editing rights can edit your company profile.
Here’s how:
- Log in and open “profile” in the menu.
- Edit your content: description, logo, social links, team members, marketing materials, featured products, etc.
- Save your changes.
If you encounter issues:
- “Profile” not visible in the menu: Contact your company admin – you need editing rights.
- Upload limit reached: Check your Digital Package or book an upgrade.
Good to know:
- Exhibitor profiles that are complete and well maintained get the best visibility. At the very least, we recommend including your logo, description, business activities and website.
- Exhibitor profiles can be prepared in German and English. Please remember to update both languages every time you edit your profile. After saving an edit in one language, switch to the other language to enter a translation and save.
With the Digital Package PRO, you can enhance your exhibitor profile visually by adding a custom background image and header graphics for desktop, tablet and smartphone.
Here’s how:
- Open “Banners and images” in the menu.
- Upload the image files in the required formats.
- Click “Save”.
Format specifications for header images:
Header images:
- Desktop: 1440 × 200 px
- Tablet: 1640 × 200 px
- Mobile: 1200 × 800 px
Background image:
- Background: 1700 × 1000 px
Team members who are registered in the platform as trade visitors for your company will automatically appear as visible contact persons in your exhibitor profile. You can also choose to give them editing rights.
Here’s how to add team members:
- Open “Team members” in the menu.
- Click “Add team member”.
- Enter the email address and basic details.
- Under “Role”, select “Admin” to give the team member editing rights.
- Confirm by clicking “Add team member”.
- The person will receive an invitation link by email.
Important to know:
- Team members with admin/editing rights can switch between their personal profile and the company profile via their profile picture in the top right-hand corner after logging in.
- Team members are shown as contacts in the exhibitor profile. Logged-in users can see the full profile. Others see profile picture, name, job title and company.
- Roles can be changed at any time using the exhibitor profile or by team member admins.
- Team members can delete their own user accounts independently via their profile settings.
Marketing materials are uploaded as files, such as PDFs, audio files, images or videos.
Here’s how:
- Open “Video and content” in the menu.
- In the “Video” tab you can:
- Upload videos as MP4 or WEBM, or
- Add videos via embed code.
- In both cases, confirm by clicking “Save”.
- In the “Marketing content” tab, you can upload files from your device.
- Click “Upload”, select the file and add a title and description for each file.
Important to know:
- Videos and marketing content are displayed in your exhibitor profile.
- Embedded videos require a specific embed code (e.g. from YouTube: under the video, click “Share” → “Embed” and copy the code). A URL is not sufficient.
- The number of marketing items you can add is determined by your Digital Package:
- BASIC: 3 files
- ECO: 10 files
- PRO: unlimited
Products are separate entries with a description, categories and an image.
Here’s how to add a product:
- Open “Products” in the menu.
- Click “Add product”.
- Enter the product data and save.
Important to know:
- Only active products are published in your exhibitor profile and in the Product Directory.
- Products can be edited in German and English at any time. Please remember to update both languages when making changes.
- The number of products you can add is determined by your Digital Package:
- BASIC: 3 products
- ECO: 10 products
- PRO: up to 25 products
- 4 September 2026 – Deadline for publishing events
- 4 September 2026 – Recommended starting date for allocating your own time-slot tickets for events where a high volume of visitors is expected
- 7–11 October 2026 – Fair days
- 30 November 2026 – Platform is deactivated. Access ends after this date.
You can generally link all your team members and speakers to your events. Official speakers, however, must be created by support in advance.
Here’s how:
- Fill in and submit the speaker form
- Once the entry has been created, you can select the person in your events.
- To create an official speaker profile from an existing profile (team member or visitor), please contact speaker@buchmesse.de with the relevant profile.
Important to know:
- Official speakers are published in the speaker directory.
- Linking to speakers is optional, but it improves the discoverability of your event.
- For better discoverability, we recommend also mentioning speaker names in the event description text.
- During peak times, setting up a speaker can take up to 5 working days.
Leads are generated when visitors interact with your content:
- By favouriting:
- Your exhibitor profile
- Your products
- By downloading:
- Your marketing materials
- By saving:
- Your events
- By exchanging:
- Messages
Here’s how to export leads:
- Open “Leads” in the menu.
- An Excel file (.xlsx) will be generated and exported automatically.
Important to know:
- Under “Dashboard” you can also see information about user interactions with your content.
- The lead export file includes email, name, company, job title, country and preferred language – provided this data has been entered by the user.
Exhibitors with team members can be contacted via direct message. Team members who are visible in the exhibitor profile can also receive messages – if they have enabled messaging.
Important to know:
- Both parties need to be logged in to send and receive messages.
- Users and team members can deactivate messaging in their profile settings.
- You will receive an email notification for new messages (if enabled).
- Exhibitors need at least one team member with the messaging function enabled.
- We do our best to deactivate spam accounts as quickly as possible. Please help us by reporting unwanted content to support-event@buchmesse.de(opens in a new window).
The Digital Package PRO includes advertising banners. These banners increase your visibility on the platform.
Please send us the relevant banner files for your preferred positions in the required sizes, including the target URL for each banner, by email to:

- Desktop: 400 × 400 px

Format specifications for app banners:
- Mobile: 320 × 100 px
Our team will then place the banners in the desired positions. Please note that the number of banners per position is limited.
