Building on our proven strengths – and guided by the needs of our diverse community – we will continue to shape the fair as both: one of the world’s foremost industry marketplaces as well as a vibrant hub for literature, culture, open discussions, public dialogue and zeitgeist.

And there’s more to come! Our goal is a future-ready Frankfurter Buchmesse that keeps connecting businesses, people, ideas and stories across the globe – with tailored offers, relevant content and carefully curated thematic worlds for all exhibitors and visitor groups. In doing so, we also support the fair’s role as a platform for democratic and cultural exchange: a place where freedom of expression, international cooperation and socially important debates find worldwide visibility and resonance.

UP TO BUSINESS

In the near future, the upper levels will put international business at the forefront. It’s where exhibitors, publishers, agents and trade visitors will be able to connect and explore opportunities across borders. With clearly defined spaces, these areas will provide a professional setting for focused work, dialogue and collaboration – from one-to-one meetings and negotiations to industry events.

 Though designed for the business community, these floors will also remain open to all interested visitors.

LOW AND BEHOLD: A PLACE DEDICATED TO STORIES

On the lower levels, publishers and exhibitors with a strong audience focus will present their programmes, showcase their latest releases and offer books for sale – accompanied by events that invite participation and exchange.

These spaces are open to professionals along with everyone who loves books and stories. Based on the interests of a broad readership, these spaces not only offer discovery and interaction, they also create visibility, foster direct connections between publishers and their audiences, and open up new opportunities for business, marketing and community-building.

With the new arrangement on the lower levels, this side of the fair gains more space and becomes easier to access. It opens the way for new formats and experiences, enriching the atmosphere and making every visit even more memorable.
