Paper and packaging made of coffee husks?  This is just one example of the many beautifully up-cycled products made from waste and designed by Remix El Barrio - winner of the STARTS Grand Prize in the category of innovative collaboration. Remix El Barrio designers explore biomaterial design projects with food scraps using artisanal techniques and digital fabrication. They collaborate with businesses in the Poblenou neighborhood of Barcelona to promote a more local and circular ecosystem. Together with other guest speakers, the talk will shed a light on how far we are in sustainable methods and trends in the publishing and media industries.
