Dirk is one of the three Founders of DAIN Studios and the CEO of DAIN Studios Germany. DAIN stands for Digital, AI (Artificial Intelligence) and Insights providing AI and data consultancy, execution, and product development.
Started in March 2016 with Studios in Finland and Germany, the company combines a team of highly experienced experts in the field of AI, Data, Data Science and Privacy. Since our start we worked with 40+ companies from more than 14 industries all the way from defining the AI strategy towards executing and implementing those plans. The team of now almost 30 people is currently serving well-known, international customers in Finland, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, and Austria.

Dirk is a veteran in the consumer electronics industry having acted in various product, marketing, and strategy roles at Siemens, BenQ, Nokia, and Deutsche Telekom.
He has implemented corporate-wide, customer-centric innovation, big data and analytics programs including world-wide customer panels, Think Tanks and Trend Scouting Networks. At Nokia, he was in charge of setting up and leading the 100+ people staffed Consumer Data & Interaction Program and as part of Nokia’s digital strategy in late 2000’s. At Deutsche Telekom Dirk worked in the global Product & Innovation team in charge of developing new data monetization concepts leveraging the data assets of the products and services of Deutsche Telekom.

Dirk´s main focus is to help companies in the area of data and AI strategy development, data-driven business model development, data ecosystem building, and AI based service development. As part of his responsibilities he defines and drives their transformation effort, change strategy and implementation programs. Big Data, Internet of Things, and agile development methods have been on Dirk’s agenda far before they became buzzwords. Dirk has a MA in Media Science, Psychology and Economics from the Ludwig Maximillian University in Munich.
