Karam Youssef

Karam Youssef is an Egyptian publisher, editor, translator, Book Seller Founder and manager of Al Kotob Khan for publishing & bookshops. She graduated with bachelor in Mass Communication - major in Radio in 1988. Then, trained in the Egyptian radio and started a career in Telecommunication sector with expertise in Project management and technical training for fifteen years. In 2006, Karam quite her career and founded the first branches of Kotob Khan Bookshop in the suburb of new Maadi, marked the first independent cultural space in the area in the south of Greater Cairo. From the first day, Kotob Khan has become vital & dynamic hub in activities that attracted audiences from different ages and regions of Egypt, creative writing workshops headed by prestigious authors and writers, art exhibitions, film screening, book discussions and more.
