Soonyoung Lee is a distinguished children’s book publisher, translator, and Vice President of the Korean Picture Book Publishers’ Association. In 2009, she co-founded BookGoodCome with her partner, and together they have published over 300 titles. Since 2011, she has been an active participant in major international book fairs, engaging in the buying and selling of rights worldwide.
BookGoodCome was shortlisted for the 2024 Bologna Prize for the Best Children’s Publishers of the Year (BOP), recognizing its excellence in publishing. In addition to her publishing work, Soonyoung is an accomplished translator, having translated approximately 80 English-language books into Korean, spanning picture books and nonfiction works.
