For contemporary works, the grant amounts to 75% of the costs, for works by classical authors 50%. The grants are limited to the actual translation costs, taking into account the translation rates in the country concerned.

The CNL’s mission is to support all actors in the book publishing chain including authors, broadcasters, publishers, bookshops, libraries, and literary events organisers. To do so it offers a wide range of aid totalling some €42 million a year in the form of subsidies, credits, grants, and zero-rate loans, which are allocated after consulting specialist committees.
CNL operates both in France and abroad. Focused on fairness and reciprocity, it strives to promote French literature on the international stage and foreign literature in France in return. It thus offers a forum for welcoming, informing, mediating, and exchanging visions globally, accessible to all.

The National Book Development Board – the Philippines’ lead agency for the development of the book publishing industry and promotion of Filipino authorship – is spearheading the implementation of the programme and will provide opportunities for foreign publishers to discover Philippine titles.
The works to be translated can be from the genres children’s, YA and NA literature, culinary, travel, Graphic Novels/Comics, fiction and non-fiction, classics, poetry, as well as New Media, and must be published in the Philippines and written in any Philippine language.

In most cases the grant covers 70% of the requested amount; in the case of books regarded as Dutch classics, the grant covers 100% of the translator’s fee. The grant amount is capped at €10,000.
The original Dutch-language work by the Dutch author or illustrator must have been published by a recognised Dutch or Flemish publishing house, and the foreign publishing house must ensure good distribution and promotion of the translated work.

The programme is designed for the support of the publication of translations of original Czech literature abroad, in the genres of poetry, prose, literature for children and young adults, comics, drama, or essays.
Priority is given to translations of contemporary Czech literature, with a maximum of 70% of the total cost of publishing covered by the grant.

TEDA is a grant program intended to foster the publication of Turkish literature as well as works about Turkish art and culture in languages other than Turkish.
Run by the Republic of Türkiye’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism, it provides funding to publishers abroad who wish to publish Turkish literature and works on Turkish art and culture in foreign languages.

The Ukrainian Book Institute is a governmental institution with the aim of promoting Ukrainian literature abroad.
The progamme invites foreign and/or Ukrainian publishers willing to translate, publish and distribute Ukrainian literary works in other countries, to submit applications (NB: the deadline was 25 March 2024), with a focus on translations of classical and contemporary Ukrainian literature, in particular literature addressing Russia’s war against Ukraine, decolonisation, the history of Ukraine in different periods, Ukrainian culture, traditions, and daily life.
