Frankfurter Buchmesse is celebrating its birthday! It is 75 years old – and we are celebrating the fair. I am, of course, celebrating in a very special way because I am once again - as I have been for many years - celebrating and talking to fantastic national and international authors on the ARD stage. And a conversation about literature is, of course, always head- and attitude- and opinion-opening.

The discourse of Frankfurter Buchmesse, all the countries that are represented, the many many encounters, make the book fair a very special week for me in the year, in any particular year. And this year especially. Congratulations and thank you for getting involved with authors and literature.

Bye, Bärbel Schäfer.
