Unesco Creative Cities Network: How does it work, how to benefit from it

The UNESCO Creative Cities Network (UCCN) is a flagship city programme of UNESCO launched in 2004 to promote cooperation among cities which have recognized culture and creativity as strategic drivers of sustainable urban development. In 2022, there are almost 300 cities from around 90 countries in the network - and 42 of them are Creative Cities of Literature. In this session we will discuss what it takes to become a Creative City of Literature, what the network means and how cities have benefitted from being part of this network.
