Good Times, Bad Times

In her novel Denk an mich, auch in guten Zeiten (Converso 2021, translated by Ann Catrin Bolton), Maja Gal Štromar has depicted a special relationship between a daughter and her deceased father, where the father could also symbolize the disintegrated Yugoslavia. In Jela Krečič's novel Keine wie sie (Mitteldeutscher Verlag 2022, translated by Liza Linde), a young Slovenian embarks on a road trip to Bosnia and experiences various love stories and reminiscences.
