Handover Ceremony of Guest of Honour 2023 Slovenia to Guest of Honour 2024 Italy

The Handover Ceremony is the closing event in the Guest of Honour Pavilion and of the current Guest of Honour presentation. 

Every year, the 'GuestScroll', an art object especially designed for the Frankfurter Buchmesse, gains a new layer of an engraved  literary text from the upcoming Guest of Honour and is handed over to the respective representative of the next Guest of Honour Country. 

This year, after a literary discussion with the Slovenian author Dušan Jelinčič and the Italian author Ilaria Tuti, the GuestScroll will be handed over to the representative of the next Guest of Honour: Italy 2024. 

The event will conclude with a musical performance by the Italian violinist Francesca Dego.
