The Magic of MinaLima: Telling Stories Through Design

For over two decades, Miraphora Mina and Eduardo Lima, have imagined and created the graphic universe of the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts franchises. As the graphic designers of the Wizarding World, their work brings the magic to life, from Harry’s Hogwarts Acceptance Letter to the Daily Prophet newspapers and the Marauder’s Map, MinaLima’s film designs have become iconic prop and fan favourites worldwide. Going from the screen to the page, they have designed and illustrated the first three volumes of the Harry Potter books to critical and fan acclaim; the MinaLima Editions have become prized collectibles for readers globally.

In conversation with moderator Tobias Goldfarb, MinaLima share highlights and anecdotes from 22 years of designing for the Wizarding World, where to watch out for sneaky MinaLima easter eggs in their illustrated Harry Potter books and what the future holds for the magic of MinaLima.
