Maja Haderlap will present her new novel about Carinthia.
The novel Angel pozabe (Angel of Oblivion) (2011) was the first novel of the Slovenian-Austrian author and also the first work she wrote in German. It is a shocking story about the suffering, resistance and betrayal of Slovenian partisans in Carinthia. The author provided insight into a forgotten period of our common history and received numerous awards for this work. In her new novel Nachtfrauen (Women of the Night), the author returns to Carinthia and portrays two unforgettable, extremely vivid female characters. The conversation will be moderated by Katja Stergar, Director of the Slovenian Book Agency and Head of the Guest of Honor Project. The conversation will be conducted in German.
