Gert Scobel

Gert Scobel was born in 1959 and studied Philosophy and Theology at the Jesuit College St. Georgen in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, and at the University of California in Berkeley, USA. From 1995 to 2007, he hosted the 3sat cultural programme "Kulturzeit". From 2001 to 2003, he was also anchorman of the ARD morning magazine. From 2003 to 2014, he hosted the ZDF programme "Sonntags – TV für's Leben" (Sundays – TV for Life). From 2004 to 2008, Gert Scobel directed and presented the TV news magazine "delta", which became the science programme "scobel" in April 2008, which he has since been responsible for. Since 2016, Gert Scobel has also been Professor of "Philosophy and Interdisciplinarity" at the Bonn-Rhine-Sieg University of Applied Sciences.
