Michael Gaeb, born 1973, studied general and comparative literature and philosophy in Bonn, Toulouse, Edinburgh, and Berlin. From 1999 to 2001, he worked for German and French publishers and agencies, and he was the co-owner of a literary agency from 2001 to 2003. In 2003, he founded the Literary Agency Michael Gaeb, which focusses on German and Spanish literature. From 2003-2005 he was curator of the Berlin International Poetry Festival. In 2003, he was a Fellow of the Frankfurter Buchmesse, and in 2007 a Fellow of the Jerusalem Book Fair. Among the authors represented are César Aira, Wolfram Eilenberger, Fernanda Melchor, Wolf Wondratschek, Kenah Cusanit, Ronya Othmann, Marc Elsberg and Ariana Harwicz.
