Irvine Welsh

Born in 1957 in Leith near Edinburgh, Irvine Welsh writes novels and short stories and is considered one of the most important authors of underground literature. His debut novel Trainspotting and the film adaptation of the same name with Ewan McGregor made him internationally famous. Many more novels followed.
