Maÿlis Vauterin is Rights Director at Stock, the oldest publishing house in France with a prestigious backlist.
There, she represents both established award-winning authors and new voices, for their foreign and film rights. After more than 15 years in publishing, this is the first year she will neither be travelling to the Frankfurt book fair, nor the Cannes festival. According to her, she misses the Hof as much as the Croisette - and yet, with the rise of platforms, never have book adaptations been so key to producers.
