Cindy Au Yeung is a Chinese-Canadian based in Vancouver, BC with a background in film and television, editing for various documentaries and scripted short films. Excited to explore storytelling within an XR medium, she is the Creative Director for her recent project ChinatownXR. Produced with Hammer & Tong, it is a mixed-media virtual and augmented reality experience that explores the memories of a World War II veteran as he recounts them to his granddaughter, while providing insight into the legacy of one of Vancouver’s most significant neighbourhoods - Chinatown. The VR experience is currently built for the Oculus Quest.
