Ana S. Pareja (Castellón, 1979) has a degree in Literary Theory and Comparative Literature, and is an editor and bookseller. She directed the Barcelona publishing house Alpha Decay for 10 years. She lives in Berlin since January 2013. When she arrived in the city, she discovered that it was not easy to find good literature in Spanish in the German capital. She decided then to open Bartleby & Co, a small Spanish bookstore located in the Kreuzberg district. Over the years, the bookstore tripled its size and has become a reference for Spanish and Latin American literature in Berlin. The bookstore also has a lending library for adults and a free lending library for children from 0 to 10 years old. It is also known for its excellent vermouth.
