Frankfurt, 2 February 2017 – On 1 February 2017, Kathrin Grün took up the position of Head of PR and Communications at the Frankfurter Buchmesse. She is now responsible for external corporate communications and product communication at national and international levels, and for positioning the company in the public eye. She will report to Katja Böhne, Vice President Marketing & Communications at Frankfurter Buchmesse.

Kathrin Grün has worked at the Frankfurter Buchmesse since 2009, looking after the integrated communication of the fair’s activities abroad, its B2B services and professional topics. Following her studies of American literature, contemporary German literature and comparative studies in Bonn, Germany, and in Mississippi, USA, she gained work experience with Farrar Straus & Giroux, Lettre International, Carl Hanser Verlag and Beltz & Gelberg. Kathrin Grün then took up the position of Assistant to the Editor-in-Chief of the German book trade magazine, Börsenblatt für den Deutschen Buchhandel. She followed this with placements as press officer with the Deutsches Filmmuseum and Deutsches Filminstitut in Frankfurt am Main, and as press spokesperson for White Star Verlag in Wiesbaden.

The Frankfurter Buchmesse communications team includes Jördis Hille, PR manager with special focus on German-speaking press relations and the Guest of Honour programme; Frank Krings, PR manager with special focus on social media and German-speaking press and blogger relations; Norbert Interwies, PR manager and officer responsible for the Press Centre at the Frankfurter Buchmesse; and Ines Bachor, Trainee Marketing & Communications.
