Frankfurt Audio puts the spoken word in the spotlight. After two years as Frankfurter Buchmesse’s Audio Ambassador, Carlo Carrenho, publishing consultant and founding member of the Alpine Global Collective, hands over this role to Ama Dadson, founder and CEO of AkooBooks Audio. In an interview, they shared their personal connection and background to the audio market, the potential of AI, trends from the business and consumer perspective, and the African and Scandinavian audio markets.

"German Stories" took centre stage at the 2019 Taipei International Book Exhibition (12-17 February). As part of Germany's Guest of Honour presentation 13 German authors travelled to Taiwan to exchange ideas with Taiwanese journalists, academics and authors. They captivated the audience and received an incredible response: All of the events at the German stand were filled to capacity and followed by lively discussions.

Sara Nović - Author of the New York Times-Bestseller novel "True Biz" (2022, Random House, German Translation from Judith Schwaab, "Klartext", 2025, btb) teaches Deaf studies and creative writing and lives in Philadelphia with her family. In our interview, Sara shares her experience of becoming an author and writing "True Biz", she talks about the power and humour of American Sign Language (ASL) and her hopes for the representation of marginalized voices like people with disabilities and the LGTBQ+ scene in literature.
