Dutch and Belgian monarchs to jointly open Dutch-Flemish Pavilion at Frankfurt B
On Tuesday 18 October His Majesty King Willem-Alexander and His Majesty King Philippe of the Belgians will jointly open the Dutch-Flemish Pavilion at the 2016 Frankfurt Book Fair, where the Netherlands and Flanders will be guests of honour.

Guest of Honour 2014 Finland
„Finnland. Cool.“ was the slogan of the Guest of Honour 2014. 60 German-language publishers acquired 215 Finnish titles in the programme. The international book exhibition “Books on Finland” displayed translations of titles from and for Finland – a total of 950 books published by 245 publishers in 35 countries.
Guest of Honour 2015 Indonesia.
"17,000 Islands of Imagination" was the slogan of the Guest of Honour 2015. The international book exhibition "Books on Indonesia" featured some 850 translations of titles from and to the Indonesian from 180 publishers and 30 countries. Indonesian publishers were present at the fair with a 340-square-meter collective stand in Hall 4.0 as well as with events related to children’s books, comic books, art/design, education and gourmet living.
Ukrainian Book Institute admitted to ENLIT
Margit Walsø, Chair of ENLIT (European Network for Literary Translation) is pleased to announce that the members of ENLIT voted unanimously at a meeting on 18 March to admit the Ukrainian Book Institute to its 30-member strong network of literature in translation promotion agencies from 28 countries.

"Literature Parade. Guest Language German at #SalTo24"
German will be the Guest of Honour Language at this year’s international book fair in Turin (Salone Internazionale del Libro di Torino, 9-13 May 2024 (#SalTo24)). Twenty-five German-language authors will be featured as part of “Literature Parade. Guest Language German at #SalTo24”, the theme of the exhibition stand and programme on the fairgrounds and in the city, which is being jointly organised by Austria, Germany and Switzerland.
