Stefan Hauck studied at the Institute for Children's Book Research, staged plays for children and then worked in publishing houses. Since 1997, he has been a specialist editor at the Börsenblatt für den Deutschen Buchhandel, where he is also responsible for children's and young adult books. Since 2017, he has been a lecturer for children's literature at the Goethe University Frankfurt.
