Jela Krečič is a philosopher and writer. She has published two novels, Ni druge (None Like Her) and Knjiga drugih, with the former translated into both English and German. Her theoretical oeuvre focuses on aesthetics and popular culture. She has published a monograph, Zmote neprevaranih: od modernizma do Hollywooda, and edited the anthology The Final Countdown: Europe, Refugees, and the Left. She is a lecturer at the University of Ljubljana, and for the past year has been working as a researcher on the Slovenian Research Agency project Truth and Indirectness.
