Marion Kohler works as Director Literary and IP Scouting Fiction for Leonine Studios in Munich. She is responsible for the acquisition of books suitable for film adaptation and other IP content for the film production companies Odeon Fiction and Wiedemann & Berg, companies of Leonine Holding GmbH. Marion Kohler has more than twenty years of experience in the book industry. After working in Berlin and New York, she was head of the fiction programme at Deutsche Verlags-Anstalt in Munich, followed by the publishing houses C. Bertelsmann and Penguin in the Penguin Random House publishing group. Most recently, she was publishing director of the four publishing houses Friedrich Oetinger, Dressler, Ellermann and Moon Notes in the Oetinger publishing group in Hamburg. Marion Kohler has also been a member of several juries, including Open Mike Berlin and the City of Munich Literature Scholarship.
